Passenger-carrying rail vehicles considered as a unit, including hauled coaches, self-propelled electric and diesel multiple units, and dedicated high-speed trainsets built for sustained running well above conventional line speed. Belongs here: sleeping cars, ordinary coaches, multiple units and named high-speed trains such as a country's flagship high-speed service. Does not belong here: the separate locomotives that haul unpowered coaches, which are grouped under diesel and electric locomotives or steam and early locomotives, or freight wagons, which this atlas does not yet track as named vehicle entities.
