Saturn V was the super heavy-lift launch vehicle NASA developed under the Apollo program to carry astronauts to the Moon. Thirteen were launched between 1967 and 1973, nine of them sending 24 astronauts toward the Moon, making it the vehicle that put space transport of people beyond Earth orbit into practice.
